This week I read The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. This book is the second in the Maze Runner series. In this book the kids have escaped from the maze and are on the run from WICKED. When WICKED catches them they are forced to do more tests or be killed. They are sent into a desert and told they have two weeks to go 100 miles or they will end up dying in the desert. With challenges popping up all over the place they have to fight there way through people and the heat/exhaustion. This book was intriguing but not as good as the third one. It's like The Hunger Games in some ways. The second book is not as good but still intriguing. This book is 384 pages and is a really fast and easy book. I suggest it to anyone in our class.
